Our CARMI family would like to wish you and yours a warm, safe, and joyful holiday season—filled with hope, health, and kindness as we step into a brand new year.
This is a special time to reflect on what truly matters in life: the blessings of family, friends, and meaningful connections.
Among those we are most grateful for are the many clients we have the privilege to serve. Thank you for your continued trust and for allowing us to help bring your vision to life through our designs.
CARMI’s 35th year in business was defined by meaningful milestones and exceptional growth. This past year marked the largest single year expansion in our organization’s history. As a result, CARMI was quite literally under construction to support our growing team. Notably, we welcomed our first licensed architect to the firm beyond our founder—an important milestone in our continued evolution. Welcome Ben Warner!
Nearly ten years ago, we made a strategic decision to broaden our client base by expanding beyond K–12 education into additional commercial markets, including higher education, healthcare, worship, sports field complexes, and multi-family developments. This diversification has played a key role in our continued success and growth.
As our staff continues to strike a balance between seasoned professionals and emerging talent, we are refining our processes to support long-term success. Several key team member roles are evolving to encourage cross training and promote sustainability. We extend our sincere thanks to our Director of Operations, Matt Neuerburg, for his leadership and Tanner Leininger, Susan Weiss, Randy Boersen and Mateja Kidder for their willingness to facilitate this transition.
CARMI’s production department has never been more efficient with Steve Blackburn leading a talented team that includes Mateja Kidder, Andrea Baldwin, Abby Hanner, and Madison Smith. Madison has also become proficient with our 3D camera documentation and is expected to join Tanner as a licensed drone pilot in 2026.
We would also like to recognize our graduate architects as they study and prepare for their upcoming licensure exams. Best of luck to all as you take this next important step in your careers.
Those who know our founder, Tony Leininger, know that he’s known to be an entrepreneur first, architect second. Examples of this include providing software training and specialized services to our industry including its competitors. Most recently CARMI and Peerless Technologies have been developing an asset management program. This state of the art program will assist its multi-facility clients and managers identify, manage and maintain their many assets. Look for AMP’D in 2026.
