Resident Housing | Southwestern Michigan College
Dowagiac, Michigan
Southwestern Michigan College [SMC] is upgrading its Resident Housing with newly renovated spaces across three buildings, totaling 4,542 square feet. Each building adds 12 new beds, increasing capacity for 36 additional students on campus.
Existing second and third floor lounges were transformed into 2-bed suites offering private or shared restroom accommodations. Each suite is equipped with a bathroom, kitchenette, and workstation to support comfortable, independent living.
HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems are also being updated to meet the needs of the new design and ensure energy-efficient operation.
These improvements reflect CARMI’s commitment to supporting academic success and modern housing for the SMC community.
“As a representative of Southwestern Michigan College, we were particularly impressed by CARMI’s professionalism and their ability to communicate effectively. Their responsiveness, clarity, and attention to detail were evident throughout the entire process.
